Eggless Recipes for Busy People
Hi there!
Something I have come to highly value with this food blog is not using weird ingredients. I don't want you running to the grocery store to use something once and have it sit in your pantry until it expires. I also only have 3 grocery stores in my town so hard to find ingredients are a no-go.
With that in mind, I am going to share some of my must have items for baking. Specifically for eggless baking because that's what I am all about around here!
All-purpose flour: It's perfect for everyday baking. I also keep a box or two of cake flour specifically for some types of cupcakes and cake.
Baking powder, baking soda, and apple cider vinegar: You will see these countless times in my recipes as they create the beautiful rise and lift in baked goods.
Yogurt: Plain, unsweetened yogurt adds moisture and binding in baked goods.
Whole milk: It’s an excellent source of moisture, and the extra fat content helps keep baked goods soft, rich, and moist.
Unsalted butter: Some people feel VERY strongly about using salted butter, but I like to control the amount of salt in recipes, so I opt for unsalted. But if you are a die-hard salted butter fan - please use that!
White granulated sugar and brown sugar
Vanilla extract: A good quality vanilla extract goes a long way for flavor.
Once your pantry is stocked with a few simple ingredients, you will only find yourself grabbing a few items at the store like blueberries or chocolate chips. Then you can enjoy eggless baking recipes like these Eggless Chocolate Chip Cookies (With Video) or these Eggless Vanilla Cupcakes.
P.S - I recently shared a new blog post all about the best egg substitutes for muffins, including my go-to substitute and why. This post breaks it all down in a super simple way.
Happy baking,
